Profile
Dr. R.N. Dhital received his PhD from the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hidehiro Sakurai. After Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry he joined the Central Department of Chemistry, Tribhuwan University. He completed his Master’s degree in 2008 securing distinction with 82.8% (1st Position in Inorganic Stream). After that, he worked as a lecturer in the Central Department of Chemistry, TU, Kritipur. Then his aspirations for further studies led him to SOKENDAI, Japan. After completing his PhD, Dr. Dhital worked as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow of Osaka University. In 2016, he moved to RIKEN and worked as a researcher in Green Nano-Catalysis Research Team. A frequent speaker at several national and international conferences, Dr. Dhital’s research interests focus on the design and catalytic application of metal nano-particles for sustainable organic transformations. Dr. Dhital has published more than 18 research articles in high impact journals. He was the recipient of the SOKENDAI Research Award in 2013, Young Scientist Award in 2011 (International Symposium of Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, Kathmandu), Young Presentation Award (International Symposium of Catalysis and Fine Chemicals, Japan, 2011), and Best Student Award 2008 (NAST, Nepal).
